On getting the information, Shahrukh Khan, the investigating officer, went to Saxena’s residence in a bid to trace the woman. He also informed the Pooranpur police station and was accompanied by other police personnel. When they reached the house and knocked, Saxena saw the Khan and fired at him. He was shot in the stomach. Saxena fled the spot and a search is on for him.”
