While uncertainty looms large over the theatrical release of the Hollywood film Monkey Man in India, possibly due to its controversial theme, desi audiences have found an alternative way to watch the film after it dropped on video-on-demand (VOD) platforms in the US. Following the film becoming available for the public to rent or purchase in North America, pirated versions of Monkey Man have surfaced on the internet, and many Indian audiences have already downloaded and watched the action thriller, which hit the screens in the West earlier this month. Now, social media is abuzz with discussions on Academy Award-nominated actor Dev Patel’s debut directorial venture.

British fashion designer Stella McCartney was bestowed the prestigious Commander of the Order of the British Empire (CBE) award by King Charles III for her services to fashion and sustainability. Sharing the happy news, McCartney took to Instagram and wrote: “Humbled to be honoured by His Majesty King Charles III today and also to have been included in Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II’s final Birthday Honours. Proud of this recognition of my work in fashion, sustainability and beyond. x Stella”.

She died of respiratory failure not related to COVID-19, according to a representative, Jason Lee. Her husband was at her bedside when she died.

The Amarnath Yatra holds immense significance as a holy pilgrimage for Hindi devotees who wish to undertake it at least once in their lifetime. Annually, thousands of devotees participate in the Amarnath Yatra, which takes place between the months of June and August. This spiritual journey is organised by the Shri Amarnathji Shrine Board. This year, the 62-day-long yatra will commence on July 1, 2023, and will culminate on August 31. The yatra will commence simultaneously for both routes — the Pahalgam track in the Anantnag district and Baltal in the Ganderbal district.

Directed by Hari and Harish, the teaser of Yashoda showed Samantha playing the role of a pregnant woman, who is put through a spy training program.  The film also stars Varalaxmi Sarathkumar, Unni Mukundan, Rao Ramesh, Murali Sharma, Sampath Raj, Shatru, Madhurima, Kalpika Ganesh, Divya Sripada, and Priyanka Sharma. It will release in theatres on November 11, 2022.
