bet1Saudi ceramic artist Awatif Al-Keneibit walks proudly into a gallery displaying her work in Riyadh, where statues and earthenware figurines witness the return of plastic arts to Saudi Arabia after decades of religious restriction.Her exposition includes ceramic faces, some with hollow eyes, others wearing eye glasses, and figurines of Saudi Arabian women, displayed on red bricks and coloured to reflect traditional desert dresses.The arrested accused, Priteesh Narayan Borkar alias Babu alias Khali, a resident of Anjuna Bardez in Goa, was arrested by the officers of the Hyderabad Narcotic Enforcement Wing (H-NEW) along with Osmania University Police. Borkar came alone to Hyderabad on a bus and was waiting for a customer at Habsiguda when he was apprehended. About 166 of Borkar’s 600 customers were identified and others are being traced, G Chakravarthy, deputy commissioner of police (East Zone), told reporters.The pictures, posted by the Bristol-based artist, show a woman in a leotard doing a handstand.
